Someone to look after your WordPress site properly. Updates, backups, security, speed and priority support from a US based freelancer you can actually talk to.
Whilst WordPress is an awesome CMS, keeping it up to date, fixing things and general day-to-day management of the more technical aspects of your site can be tricky for non-techy users.
I provide both ad-hoc and retained WordPress support services for WordPress sites.
These services can be tailored to meet your needs – I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether I’ve built your site or not, I can help you if you end up having any issues.
This can be technical support for work on themes and plugins or creative input for design-related tasks.
This is pay-as-you-go WordPress support and is billed by the hour (note that it rarely takes less than 30 minutes).
Having worked on 100s of WordPress sites, I’ve come across 1000s of errors and issues, so I am always confident that I can fix any problems you’re facing pretty quickly.
For larger sites and people who want priority support, I provide monthly retained services that provide a fixed amount of time per month for a fixed cost.
These support contracts also include a range of other services as part of the fee.
These include SEO reports, site audits and a range of other automated tools to help keep your site in tip-top condition.
Charging for my retained monthly support packages is quoted on a per-site basis as most clients have their own unique requirements, but prices for smaller sites start from $49 per month.
It doesn’t matter how large or small your business is, or how much content you have on your site, one thing is for sure.
You will not be overly happy with your website being offline for any period of time.
Having someone on-hand to help you fix problems on your site is essential as your WordPress site is your 27/4 marketing machine.
If a potential new customer visits your site and it’s either not working at all or there are issues with it, it can give completely the wrong impression about you and your company and the potential customer will look elsewhere.
Don’t risk it with your site – support plans are affordable and it means you have a WordPress expert on hand to fix any issues.
If you’re not sure about how good your site is at the moment I can run a free basic website audit for you to highlight any current issues. This is an independent, objective audit – and it’s free.
Plans start from $49.99/month. The exact price depends on your site: a straightforward business site costs less than a WooCommerce store with thousands of products. Get in touch and I’ll put together a quote based on what your site actually needs.
That’s exactly what the plan is for. Emergency fixes and hack recovery are included as part of your priority support. I’ll jump on it quickly, and you won’t be charged extra for the rescue work. If you’re not on a plan yet, I also offer one-off emergency WordPress support and broader WordPress development when deeper work is needed.
No, and that’s a big part of why this service exists. Every update is tested in a staging copy of your site first, and I check for compatibility issues before anything goes live. Blind updates are one of the most common reasons WordPress sites break.
No. You can cancel with 30 days’ notice, no penalties and no awkward conversations. I’d rather keep you because the service is genuinely useful, not because you’re stuck in a contract.
Yes. Small content updates, text changes, image swaps and minor tweaks are all covered under your priority support. For bigger changes or new features, I’ll quote those separately so you know the cost upfront.
Most hosting providers offer auto-updates, but they don’t test anything first. They update your plugins, something breaks, and then it’s your problem. I test updates in staging, monitor the results, and actually fix things when they go wrong. There’s also a lot that hosting providers don’t cover: security hardening, performance optimisation, content changes and someone to call when you need help.
Yes, and WooCommerce sites benefit from maintenance more than most because a broken update can mean lost sales. I pay extra attention to checkout flows, payment gateways and order processing when running updates on WooCommerce stores.
A clear summary of everything that was done that month: updates applied, any security issues found, uptime and performance stats, and honest recommendations if there’s anything worth improving. It’s written in plain English, not padded out with jargon to look impressive
